If you’d asked me three months ago what we were doing for our first wedding anniversary, I’d have said that we were planning a trip away over the Easter break, a nice meal out in the same village as our venue, and that I’d secretly ordered a wedding album as a surprise gift for Jon (my husband). Now, in the middle of coronavirus lockdown, it’s a rather different story.

As a Stamford wedding photographer I’m incredibly lucky to have the marvellous Irnham Hall right on my doorstep. This year I’ve had the pleasure of shooting there four times already and I  just love how it looks so beautiful in every season.

Swancar Farm Country House is a beautiful, exclusive wedding venue set on the outskirts of Nottingham and Derby. As a wedding photographer in the East Midlands, I’ve photographed lots of weddings here now and absolutely love it. Surrounded by rolling countryside, unique ceremony space and quirky corners, it’s a wedding photographer’s dream.

Lucy and David’s tipi wedding took place at Lucy’s childhood home near Peterborough in June 2016. There’s always something extra special about home-spun weddings and even more so when the venue is a family farm.

Charli and Will’s Rutland wedding was full of the sights, sounds and scents of the English countryside. In fact when I look back through their pictures I can still smell the beautiful herbal centre-pieces and honey-scented bouquets – divine.
