Charli & Will’s Rustic, Relaxed Rutland Wedding
Charli and Will’s Rutland wedding was full of the sights, sounds and scents of the English countryside. In fact when I look back through their pictures I can still smell the beautiful herbal centre-pieces and honey-scented bouquets – divine.
Set in the beautiful Rutland village of Barrowden with over 120 guests, Charli and Will’s wedding was a bit of a whirlwind! To get the utmost from the day’s photography I was joined by second shooter Sarah to ensure everything was covered in double detail! Whilst Charli and her bridesmaids got ready just around the corner from the church Will and his thirteen groomsmen (yes, thirteen!) donned their tartan trews and grabbed spot of lunch at the Falcon in Fotheringhay. The ceremony was held in Barrowden church overlooking the marquee, after which Charli and Will were up for taking a bit of a drive to a beautiful spot we’d previously ear-marked for their couple photos.
The style of the day was themed around countryside pursuits with a particular focus on artisan food and drink. Charli actually runs her own cooking preserves company so guests were treated to a selection of chutneys and condiments to accompany their meals before an energetic evening of ceilidh dancing!
