Winter Wedding at Stoke Rochford Hall
I love a good winter wedding. They have such a warm and cosy atmosphere when it’s chilly outside, and even more so if there’s a beautiful blanket of snow. In the last six years I’ve only ever photographed three snowy weddings, two of which have been at Stoke Rochford Hall near Grantham, three years apart almost to the day. What are the chances!?

Ellie and Toni’s wedding was the perfect end to my 2017 season. After a few weeks of rest over Christmas I was refreshed and ready to get shooting again, and Stoke Rochford Hall made the most beautiful setting for their day. They had their ceremony just a short drive away at Stoke Rochford Church, and some of my favourite photos are from the guard of honour afterwards. Military wedding always look so smart don’t they! Ellie’s sister Hannah took charge of the flowers for the day, even making Ellie’s gorgeous bouquet of frosted red roses, eucalyptus and thistle. Ellie and Toni were absolute troopers when it came to their couple photos, heading outside without hesitation to get some gorgeous shots in the snowy gardens. Yes it was definitely chilly and Ellie’s dress may have got a* bit* mucky underneath, but it was so worth it to get these photos. I always think you only wear that dress once so you want to give it a good outing, even if it means a trip to the dry-cleaners afterwards!! Hope you enjoy browsing through some of their photos!
