As a Stamford wedding photographer I mostly cover weddings in Rutland, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire but rarely pass up the chance to travel given the opportunity!
Hi, I’m Georgi and I live in Bourne, a cute little market town near Stamford. I’ve been a full-time wedding photographer for almost six years now and absolutely love my job. I originally started out as a newspaper photographer but soon realised that shooting weddings was just as much fun, and far more emotionally rewarding. In my spare time I love being out and about in nature, so tend to find myself drawn towards DIY, rustic-style weddings in particular. Most people aren’t sure how to pronounce my surname so I’ll share that now…. it’s definitely ‘maybe’!
I love working with couples who want their wedding to be fun, relaxed and embrace all the little quirks that make them unique. If that sounds like you we’d probably be a good match and I’d love to chat to you about your wedding photography!
To put it simply, my style is all about creating fresh and natural images that capture the action and atmosphere of your wedding day. Most of your photos will be totally natural and half the time you won’t know I’m there. I usually take a few groups photos but just let me know if you want to skip on these altogether. I believe a great photo is made by mixing good light with genuine moments and don’t believe in faffing, filters and endless posing. I want to give you a set of photographs which help you re-live your memories for years to come and reflect you both as a couple.
Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who hasn’t said they’re nervous about having their picture taken. It’s totally normal to feel that way and please don’t worry – I’m pretty sure you’ll be absolutely fine with it as we start taking pictures.
Yes, every wedding collection comes with a USB containing all your fully-edited images as high resolution JPEG files. You'll also receive a lovely online gallery to share with your guests and order prints if you like as well.
Absolutely, please go ahead and share your pictures however you like as long as it's for non-commercial use. If any of your other suppliers would like access to the photos and you're OK with that too, please ask them to contact me so I can help them out.
Yes indeed, though I do recommend using a professional photo lab or your online gallery print facility to ensure they are the very best quality. This way I can personally check all orders and offer technical assistance if required.
Depending on your coverage you'll receive anything between 300-500 individually edited photographs. Exact numbers depend on a whole host of factors including the timings of your day, how many guests you're having and whether you choose to book a Second Shooter. There's no limit on the number of pictures I take or edit, if an image is good it'll be included.
I edit a wedding in several phases. The first is where I go through all the photos taken and discard the ones which didn't come for one reason or another, a.k.a. the 'bloopers'. After this I go through and pick out the best shots, so usually that's comparing two or three very similar images and getting rid of near-duplicates. After that I zing up the colours and polish them up a bit more before uploading them to your web gallery.
You will normally be able to view your photographs for the first time within five weeks of your wedding day. In busy times (June-September) this may increase to six weeks depending on workload.
Yes. If you'd like a wedding album I'll ask you to pick around 100-120 of your favourite photographs using your online gallery before I set to work on the design. If you struggle for time to do this I'm more than happy to pick an initial selection for you with the option to adjust things once you’ve seen the first design.
Depending on the time of year, your album will take between two/three weeks to design before you approve the layout. As soon as you are happy with the design, the books will be ordered and normally take a further four weeks to be bound, printed, checked and delivered. Turnaround time may be longer over the holiday periods or if you pick your photos later than two weeks after the initial request.
Yes, I'm very lucky to work regularly with other wedding photographers around the country and have a wide network of second shooters who would love to help capture your day. Please get in touch for more details.
Yes, I'm fully insured with £5 million Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance as required by most venues.
I'll always work my socks off to get you the very best pictures whatever the weather and am more than happy to go out in the rain to take pictures if you are. If you don't fancy going outside we'll find a covered area or space with nice light inside your venue instead.
Only if you ask for extra coverage, extra products or a Second Shooter. Travel expenses are included for weddings within a 60 mile radius of Bourne, Lincolnshire. If your wedding is outside this area we'll discuss extra mileage during your initial booking consultation. I am not registered for VAT so this does not apply to any costs.

While a portfolio is a great way to look at a photographer’s favourite images, I think you can tell a lot more about a photographer’s overall style by checking out their blog. Here are a selection of some of my favourite blog posts from over the years.
I like to post a good selection of images from as many weddings as I can to show how my photography style works throughout the day. When you’re choosing a wedding photographer it’s good to see examples of a full wedding day start to finish, so everything from getting ready and ceremony to the reception, speeches and evening party.
Check out some of the wedding magazines and blogs my fab couples have been featured in. It’s always really exciting to see a weddings in print or on a wedding blog to give newly engaged couples inspiration for their own day in the making.
There’s nothing I love more than receiving notes and thank you cards from couples’ whose weddings I’ve photographed. It’s like a little souvenir of the day for me and makes my job feel extra fulfilling.

So last Tuesday was just a typical weekday in my office. Answering emails, editing and planning next year’s shoots. I was actually just clocking off for the evening when a quick glance at my messages stopped me in my tracks – I’d just been Highly Commended for the East Midland’s Best Wedding Photographer in the Wedding Industry Awards.
