Working together to make your photography a fun and relaxed experience

Working together to make your photography a fun and relaxed experience

Meet Georgi

As a Stamford wedding photographer I offer photography around the Rutland, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire areas for couples who want natural and relaxed images of their day. I also love to travel and shoot weddings across the UK.

My Background

I’ve been a professional photographer for the last nine years and can’t imagine having a more enjoyable and rewarding job. I came to weddings from a background in press photography and needless to say I prefer weddings any day! It’s such an incredible job, I feel very lucky indeed.

  • Enjoying your day

I think it’s so important that you enjoy your day without it feeling like one long photoshoot. My aim is to blend into the background and capture things as they happen as much as possible.  When it’s time to take your group photos we’ll have already come up with a plan on how to keep these quick and easy, so they shouldn’t be too much of a chore. I usually recommend having no more than 10 group shots so you can get back to the party and enjoy yourselves.

    Time together

Your wedding day will be a whirlwind of emotion and excitement. Things fly by so quickly it can actually be really nice to take a bit of time out and soak it all up, so penciling in some time out for your photos as a couple is a great thing to do. We’ll usually go for a walk around your venue where you and your partner can spend some time together, catch a breath of fresh air and get some stunning photos to boot. I believe the best pictures are full of warmth and emotion rather than pedantic poses, so will guide you just enough to feel comfortable and look amazing. Depending on your venue I usually find fifteen to twenty minutes is  plenty of time to get some great shots but will be totally guided by you.

  • Photography Style

My style is all about creating fresh and natural images that really capture the atmosphere of your wedding day. I think it’s true to say that the photos we love most are almost always the ones which make us feel something. The ones which bring back strong emotions and memories from a time in your life that’s now in the past. Think about your favourite photo from when you were little… I bet it’s a photo of you playing in the garden, making sandcastles with your friends or cuddling your nan on the sofa. It almost certainly isn’t one of those official school photos where you’ve been told to sit still and smile like a statue. The same will be true with your wedding photography. I want to give you a set of photographs which bring back the real memories of your wedding day. Those beautiful, fleeting moments are the ones you’ll cherish most in twenty years’ time.

    My kinda couple

I love working with couples who want their wedding to be fun and relaxed. It’s so great to see couples who are really excited about their day and not too worried about everything being absolutely Pinterest perfect. Trust me, if you want to get good photos you can’t be too worried about walking through grass in your heels!

Common Questions

Do we get digital copies of our photos?

Yes, every wedding collection comes with a USB containing all your fully-edited images as high resolution JPEG files. You'll also receive a lovely online gallery to share with your guests and order prints if you like as well.

Can we share our photos online?

Absolutely, all your images are granted a personal licence to copyright which means you can share your pictures however you like for non-commercial use. If any of your other suppliers would like access to the photos and you're OK with that too, please ask them to contact me so I can help them out.

Can we make our own prints and products?

Yes indeed, but I do recommend using your online gallery's print facility to ensure they are the very best quality. This way I can personally check all orders and offer technical assistance if required.

How many pictures will we receive?

Depending on your coverage you'll receive anything between 300-500 individually edited photographs. Exact numbers depend on a whole host of factors including the timings of your day, how many guests you're having and whether you choose to book a Second Shooter to help cover events. There's no limit on the number of pictures I take or edit, if an image is good it'll be included.

When will we see our photos?

You will normally be able to view your photographs for the first time within five weeks of your wedding day. In busy times (June-September) this may increase to six weeks depending on workload.

Can we pick the pictures for our wedding album?

Yes. If you'd like a wedding album I'll ask you to pick around 100-120 of your favourite photographs using your online gallery before I set to work on the design. If you struggle for time to do this I'm more than happy to pick an initial selection for you with the option to adjust things once you’ve seen the first design.

When will we receive our wedding album?

Depending on the time of year, your album will take between two/three weeks to design before you approve the layout. As soon as you are happy with the design, the books will be ordered and normally take a further four weeks to be bound, printed, checked and delivered. Turnaround time may be longer over the holiday periods or if you pick your photos later than two weeks after the initial request.

We want to get as many pictures as possible from our wedding. Can we get two photographers?

Yes, I'm very lucky to work regularly with other wedding photographers around the country and have a wide network of second shooters who would love to help capture your day. Please get in touch for more details.

Are you covered by professional insurance?

Yes, I'm fully insured with £5 million Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance as required by most venues.

What happens if it rains?

I'll always work my socks off to get you the very best pictures whatever the weather and am more than happy to go out in the rain to take pictures if you are. If you don't fancy going outside we'll find a covered area or space with nice light inside your venue instead.

Are there any extra costs?

Only if you ask for extra coverage, extra products or a Second Shooter. Travel expenses are included for weddings within a 50 mile radius of Bourne, Lincolnshire. If your wedding is outside this area we'll discuss extra mileage during your initial booking consultation. I am not registered for VAT so this does not apply to any costs.

Best of the Blog

About the Blog

While a portfolio is a great way to look at a photographer’s favourite images, I think you can tell a lot more about a photographer’s overall style by checking out their blog. Here are a selection of some of my favourite blog posts from over the years, featuring full weddings and publications I’ve been fortunate enough to have work featured in.

Real Weddings

I like to post a good selection of images from as many weddings as I can to show how my photography style works throughout the day. When you’re choosing a wedding photographer it’s good to see examples of a full wedding day start to finish, so everything from getting ready and ceremony to the reception, speeches and evening party.

Published Features

Check out some of the wedding magazines and blogs my fab couples have been featured in. It’s always really exciting to see a weddings in print or on a wedding blog to give newly engaged couples inspiration for their own day in the making.

Reviews

There’s nothing I love more than receiving notes and thank you cards from couples’ whose weddings I’ve photographed. It’s like a little souvenir of the day for me and makes my job feel extra fulfilling.

Pre-Wedding Shoots

Sometimes it’s nice to take some pictures before your wedding day to get a feel for what kind of shots you like best.  It’s totally normal to feel a bit nervous about having your picture taken, so these shoots can help you feel a bit more at ease. Usually we’ll just take a short walk when we meet for your pre-wedding meeting and grab a few quick photos on the go, nothing scary or cheesy. If you’re after a full shoot I can offer these at a location of your choice for an extra fee, just get in touch to find out more.
