for relaxed and laid-back couples
I’m a Stamford wedding photographer with a real love for documenting weddings in a natural and creative way. I’m so lucky to be doing something I love for people who really care about their pictures. I mostly photograph weddings in Rutland, Stamford and around the East Midlands but rarely pass up the opportunity to travel!
My photography style is documentary and heart-felt, focusing on the moments that matter most to you. I love photos which are light, rustic and unscripted (with a dash of humour too!).
My story began about twelve years ago when I worked as press photographer around the East Midlands. I really enjoyed my time working in journalism but soon realised wedding photography was my true calling and set up my own business in 2011. I can’t think of any better way to have spent the last nine years and am so grateful to all the amazing couples who have made my dream job possible!
As a press photographer, I learned to investigate, to ask questions, and to be flexible. It was important to have a knack for predicting what’s going to happen next and always being ready to catch spontaneous, off-the-cuff moments. Exactly the same skills you need for getting good, documentary wedding photos, packed with meaning and emotional significance.
I like to get to know you as a couple, and find out which aspects of the day are most important to you so I can give you meaningful, heart-felt pictures. I want to capture you in a way that shows who you are, no painful, cringey poses.
I treasure my own family photos so much and love the idea that you’ll feel the same way about the ones I take for you, for years to come. It’s a genuine honour to be trusted with your memories.
I like a more natural edit style so your photos are light, bright and colourful, never over-processed or forced. I want your photos to still be shining 20 years from now.
I live with my husband in the quirky little market town of Bourne, close to Stamford and Grantham in the East Midlands. When I’m not out shooting weddings I’m usually working at home or taking long walks with my fella (we’re quite outdoorsy). I’m also a bit of a secret geek, I love nothing more than the latest popular psychology book and I’m also a wannabe polyglot – I love languages (I’ve been trying to learn Hungarian for fifteen years, it’s hard work!).
I like to work with relaxed couples who want to have a lot of fun at their wedding rather than spend hours on formal, staged photos. If this sounds like you and you like what you see in my portfolio, let’s talk! I’d love to hear more about you and your wedding plans.

Yes, every wedding collection comes with a USB containing all your fully-edited images as high resolution JPEG files. You'll also receive a private online gallery to share with your guests and order prints if you like as well.
Absolutely, please go ahead and share your pictures however you like as long as it's for non-commercial use. If any of your other suppliers would like access to the photos and you're OK with that too, please ask them to contact me so I can help them out.
Yes, though I do recommend using the professional print order system in your online gallery to ensure they are the very best quality. I also offer a range of professional books and albums that will withstand the test of time unlike highstreet versions.
Depending on your coverage you'll receive anything between 300-800 individually edited photographs. Exact numbers depend on a whole host of factors including the timings of your day, how many guests you're having and whether you choose to book a Second Shooter. There's no limit on the number of pictures I take or edit, if an image is good it'll be included.
I edit a wedding in several stages. First I'll go through all the photos taken and pick out the best shots, so often that's comparing two or three very similar frames and curating a series which becomes your final set. After that I individually edit each photo in my signature style before uploading them to your web gallery. I may edit some images in black and white but can make colour copies available on request.
For weddings happening between October and May you'll normally be able to view your photos within six weeks of your wedding day. In busy times (June-September) this may increase to eight weeks depending on workload.
Yes. If you'd like a wedding album I'll ask you to pick around 100 of your favourite photographs using your online gallery before I set to work on the design. If you struggle for time to do this I'm more than happy to pick an initial selection for you with the option to adjust things once you’ve seen the first design.
Depending on the time of year, your album will take between two/three weeks to design before you approve the layout. As soon as you are happy with the design, the books will be ordered and normally take a further four weeks to be bound, printed, checked and delivered. Turnaround time may be longer over the holiday periods or if you pick your photos later than two weeks after the initial request.
Yes, I'm very lucky to work regularly with other wedding photographers around the country and have a wide network of second shooters who would love to help capture your day. Please get in touch for more details.
Yes, I'm fully insured with £5 million Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance as required by most venues.
I'll always work my socks off to get you the very best pictures whatever the weather and am more than happy to go out in the rain to take pictures if you are. If you don't fancy going outside we'll find a covered area or space with nice light inside your venue instead.
Only if you ask for extra coverage, extra products or a second shooter. Travel expenses are included for weddings within 1.5 hours drive of Bourne, Lincolnshire. If your wedding is outside this area we'll discuss any extra mileage or accommodation during your initial consultation. As a sole trader there is no VAT to pay on my prices.
While a portfolio is a great way to look at a photographer’s favourite images, I think you can tell a lot more about a photographer’s overall style by checking out their blog. Here are a selection of some of my favourite blog posts from over the years.
I like to post a good selection of images from as many weddings as I can to show how my photography style works throughout the day. When you’re choosing a wedding photographer it’s good to see examples of a full wedding day start to finish, so everything from getting ready and ceremony to the reception, speeches and evening party.
Check out some of the wedding magazines and blogs my fab couples have been featured in. It’s always really exciting to see a weddings in print or on a wedding blog to give newly engaged couples inspiration for their own day in the making.
There’s nothing I love more than receiving notes and thank you cards from couples’ whose weddings I’ve photographed. It’s like a little souvenir of the day for me and makes my job feel extra fulfilling.
