Camilla and Jamie’s Uppingham wedding took place in mid-December last year. Uppingham is a beautiful Rutland market town with a cosy atmosphere and quirky architecture, I always adore shooting there and at Christmas time it feels extra special.
Camilla and Jamie wanted lots of natural photos from their wedding and had an early afternoon ceremony to make the most of the December daylight hours. The whole day took place in the centre of Uppingham, with the church ceremony followed by the reception at the Falcon Hotel just across the square. I was joined by the ever wonderful Liv as my Second Shooter for the day so Jamie and the boys could have photos in the morning while I was with Camilla. I love how similar our photos are of both Jamie and Camilla crossing the square to the church – that’s why I love working with Second Shooters I know and trust. It was also fantastic having both of us cover the ceremony as the chaplain allowed us free reign during the service – something thats really unusual and a total blessing (no pun intended). It was so refreshing being able to get full coverage of a church ceremony and Camilla and Jamie’s service photos are definitely some of my all time favourites.
After the church Camilla and Jamie took a bit of time out for their couple photos at Uppingham School, a place which is special for both of them and is also conveniently gorgeous. We spent about 20 minutes shooting in the pretty archways and corners before heading back to the part before it started to get dark. The inside of the Falcon Hotel is really pretty too, especially since its renovation a few years ago. This was the first time I’ve photographed a wedding breakfast in the new conservatory and it provided the perfect blank canvas for Camilla and Jamie’s festive decorations. I hope you enjoy browsing through some of these photos, I do love a good winter wedding!

Charli and Will’s Rutland wedding was full of the sights, sounds and scents of the English countryside. In fact when I look back through their pictures I can still smell the beautiful herbal centre-pieces and honey-scented bouquets – divine. Set in the beautiful Rutland village of Barrowden with over 120 guests, Charli and Will’s wedding Read More

I love a good winter wedding. They have such a warm and cosy atmosphere when it’s chilly outside, and even more so if there’s a beautiful blanket of snow. In the last six years I’ve only ever photographed three snowy weddings, two of which have been at Stoke Rochford Hall near Grantham, three years apart Read More

Anna and Locky’s wedding took me to Penshurst Place for the first time – a stunning manor house wedding venue in the Kent countryside. We were blessed with gorgeous sunshine on their day in July which really showed Penshurst Place and its enormous gardens at their very best. My day began capturing Anna’s morning preparations at her parents’ home Read More

When I first met with Nikki and Andrew to chat about their December wedding Nikki told me she’d always dreamed of it snowing on their wedding day.
