Charli and Will’s Rutland wedding was full of the sights, sounds and scents of the English countryside. In fact when I look back through their pictures I can still smell the beautiful herbal centre-pieces and honey-scented bouquets – divine.
Set in the beautiful Rutland village of Barrowden with over 120 guests, Charli and Will’s wedding was a bit of a whirlwind! To get the utmost from the day’s photography I was joined by second shooter Sarah to ensure everything was covered in double detail! Whilst Charli and her bridesmaids got ready just around the corner from the church Will and his thirteen groomsmen (yes, thirteen!) donned their tartan trews and grabbed spot of lunch at the Falcon in Fotheringhay. The ceremony was held in Barrowden church overlooking the marquee, after which Charli and Will were up for taking a bit of a drive to a beautiful spot we’d previously ear-marked for their couple photos.
The style of the day was themed around countryside pursuits with a particular focus on artisan food and drink. Charli actually runs her own cooking preserves company so guests were treated to a selection of chutneys and condiments to accompany their meals before an energetic evening of ceilidh dancing!
If you enjoyed Charli and Will’s wedding photography why not check out more of our Rutland Wedding Photography? Rutland may be the smallest county in the UK, but it’s definitely one of the prettiest!

As a Stamford wedding photographer I’m incredibly lucky to have the marvellous Irnham Hall right on my doorstep. This year I’ve had the pleasure of shooting there four times already and I just love how it looks so beautiful in every season. Gemma and John’s vintage-inspired wedding at Shustoke Farm Barns was probably one of the cutest and most perfectly-styled weddings I’ve ever photographed. What a fab start to 2017! I was so excited when I got Gemma and John’s first email way back in 2015. Gemma is an old school friend who I’d not seen in Read More

So last Tuesday was just a typical weekday in my office. Answering emails, editing and planning next year’s shoots. I was actually just clocking off for the evening when a quick glance at my messages stopped me in my tracks – I’d just been Highly Commended for the East Midland’s Best Wedding Photographer in the Wedding Industry Awards. As a Stamford wedding photographer I’m really lucky to work in the most gorgeous part of the country. Being based right on the edge of Rutland means a lot of the weddings I shoot take place at private homes and gardens which is great, because each setting is totally unique and pretty unlikely to be Read More

Lucy and David’s tipi wedding took place at Lucy’s childhood home near Peterborough in June 2016. There’s always something extra special about home-spun weddings and even more so when the venue is a family farm. Lucy and David wanted their wedding to be more like a big party than a traditional wedding and they definitely Read More

It was a particularly hot summer’s day when I first met Rosie and Thanasis in Southorpe. We spent about an hour chatting through wedding ideas in the garden, sunglasses on, drinking cups of tea in the sunshine. I remember thinking that we’d be very lucky to be spend this much time outside at the end of October, Read More

It’s no secret that Normanton Church is one of my all-time favourite wedding venues. It truly is stunning and pretty unique as venues go in the UK, a de-consecrated church which seems to float majestically on Rutland Water. I was thrilled to go back there for Amy and Stewart’s wedding in May 2017 and it Read More
