The sun shone for much of April this year making it the perfect month to book in lots of pre-wedding shoots. And thank goodness that was the case too as Anna and Locky had booked their pre-wedding shoot over six months beforehand due to busy work schedules and the location of their wedding venue – Penshurst Place in rural Kent.
While I wouldn’t normally use a couple’s wedding venue as a pre-wedding shoot location due to the chance of repeating images on their wedding day, I knew this would be my only chance to take a good look around Penshurst Place before Anna and Locky’s wedding in July. Luckily the venue is magnificently varied, so we agreed we would use the more open areas for the pre-wedding photos and keep the best bits in reserve for the final wedding photos. It was so tempting to use the most picturesque spots with the gorgeous castle in the background but I think we got some gorgeous shots using just the basic elements of the gardens. I can’t wait for my return visit in July!
