As a wedding photographer in Bourne I’d been dying to shoot at one of the latest wedding venues in the area – Irnham Hall. I’d heard a lot about it, so when Rachel and Gavin got in touch and told me they’d chosen Irnham as the venue for their festival-style wedding I got very excited indeed!
Rachel and Gavin wanted their wedding at Irnham Hall to be a fun and relaxed affair. So to cover all bases they chose to split it into two parts – holding the traditional ceremony and wedding breakfast in the afternoon and spending the evening at their very own carnival-style party. It was so much fun photographing guests as they did the limbo, got stuck into a good game of hook a duck, queued for candy floss and took a shot at the coconut shy. It was also great to work at a venue which is so relaxed and open to ideas, I can’t wait to go back again next year.
As you can probably tell I love shooting weddings like this, they’re so personal and a real joy to be involved in. Here are a selection of photos from their day, check out Rachel on the rodeo bull – what a girl!
