There was lots of fun, sun and laughter at Joe and Jakki’s wedding at Grange Farm Wittering, making it a real pleasure to photograph. I should probably admit the nerves were running a little higher than usual though as Joe is a professional photographer too, but thankfully second shooter Liv and I were totally up for the challenge!
The day began with Jakki getting ready at home in Peterborough and Joe at The Haycock Hotel in nearby Wansford. I was really excited when I saw Jakki’s beautiful dress with embezzled shoulder detail, so beautiful and unique, I can’t imagine another dress suiting her as much as this one did. The ceremony took place at the historic Church of St Kyneburgha in Castor, which not only has one of the most beautifully carved roofs in the area but also one of the friendliest vicars. There were no restrictions on photography during the ceremony, so between us Liv and I managed to get complete coverage of the wedding ceremony. A real treat!
After a few photos in Castor the party carried on the Grange Farm in Wittering, a venue which was new to me but one I’d whole-heartedly recommend to anyone. Joe and Jakki decorated the marquee with pretty rustic touches and Joe’s surprise guitar serenade to Jakki in the evening was a really memorable moment for everyone. I hope you enjoy looking through this selection of photos from their day and look out for Eric the jack russell and official ring-bearer! Enjoy x
