Relaxed and Colourful Wedding Photography at The Granary Deeping
Megan and James’ wedding took place in southern Lincolnshire at one of my favourite local venues, The Granary near Market Deeping. Their day had all the things dream weddings are made of, an outdoor ceremony in beautiful gardens surrounded by all your family and friends. Oh and lots of flowers and colour, you know how much I love colour!
It’s always a gamble planning for an outdoor ceremony but it paid off in spades for these guys, with beautiful sunshine from start to finish. I really loved how personal they made their ceremony and the loveliest reading from Megs’ mum. I spied several teary eyes in the audience!
One of the coolest things about The Granary is how you can move between spaces for different parts of your celebration, moving across the bridge to your drinks reception by the riverside, then wandering down to the secret garden for some grub and the evening party. Megs and James opted for food trucks to feed their guests and I’ve got the say the pizza and waffles were absolutely amazing. I wish I’d know about the waffles for my own wedding!
Aside from the wonder of waffles which clearly left a huge impression on me, this was also the first time I’ve ever seen NagelSpiel at a wedding. For the uninitiated, NagelSpiel is a popular German game where the aim is the hit a nail into a beam of wood with as few strikes as possible. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed such a heated sporting tournament! The beer pong was pretty intense too.
After a fantastic afternoon we were treated to some beautiful golden hour light and a wonderfully mild night for some evening photos. Thank you SO MUCH Megs and James for letting me loose on these photos, I’m so thrilled with how they came out. Hope you all enjoy browsing through some of my favourite photos from this awesome wedding.
