Well better late than never but here is my first blog post of 2017! Sarah and Giles’ Swancar House wedding took place in April this year and was just the kind of relaxed, chilled out wedding I love to photograph.
I last shot at Swancar back in April 2015 and it’s such a beautiful place to get married. Set in a quiet corner of Nottingham it really does feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. With tonnes of open countryside and cute little corners I’m so pleased it was warm enough for us to go out and explore the venue for photos on Sarah and Giles’ day. The fields around the farm were bright yellow with rape seed flowers which added a gorgeous pop of colour to the photos. A bit of DIY crafting is something I really can’t resist and Sarah and Giles filled their wedding with lots of little touches to reflect their passion for travel.
Sometimes though it’s the little things that really stick in my mind from a wedding. One of my favourite moments of Sarah and Gile’s day has got to be little flower girl’s strong opinion on anyone having any objections to the marriage during the ceremony… a loud ‘NO!’ from her left everyone in fits of laughter, including the registrar. So cute. Hope you enjoy looking through this lovely Spring wedding!
If you’re getting married at Swancar House Farm and are still looking for a photographer I would absolutely love to go back here, so please feel free to pop me a message!
