Availability for Postponements (covid-19)

So, here we are again. A roadmap to the end of lockdown but at the moment understandably tentative about dates being set in stone. I’m so sorry your wedding plans have been be affected by coronavirus and I can’t imagine the stress of not knowing what’s going on with your plans. I really want to offer you my support and help where I can but now we are in the second year of postponements my options may be a little more limited as demand outstrips availability.

I haven’t emailed some of you just yet because I don’t want to add to your anxiety, but it’s important you know what options are available should you decide to postpone. I am still fully committed to you and your wedding and will support you as much as I can whichever route you take, please know you can always email or phone me if you want to talk about anything.

**Please scroll down for last minute 2021 and 2022 dates as of 18.00 on 26th February 2021**

My Process for Postponements

I am doing my best to keep everything simple to reduce anxiety and stress for all involved, however I must also ensure my business can meet basic costs to be able to provide my services at your future wedding.

If you decide to postpone your wedding and I am available for your new date, I will transfer your booking with as little fuss as possible but please be aware that a nominal fee will be required to secure a prime date in 2022 or 2023.

If you move to a new date in 2021 your remaining balance will remain the same but please be aware any options for Second Shooters may need to be reviewed. This is because Second Shooters are independent contractors who also run their own businesses and it is very likely their diaries will have also been affected by the latest announcements.

If I am not available on your new date there will be no cancellation fees. Your original booking fee is non-refundable as it was paid to retain me for your original date and to ensure all other enquiries for that date were turned away.   It also covers the work done prior to your wedding such as admin, meetings and pre-wedding shoots. If I happen to secure a new wedding for your original date I will ensure this is returned to you. As a good will gesture I will make enquiries on your behalf to see if any other photographers I know are available.

If you are keen to keep some elements of your booking with me it could be an option to source an associate photographer to shoot on my behalf, and I will edit the photos.  This option will be offered on a case by case basis as it depends if any of my regular associates are available.

If you decide to postpone your wedding to next year, it is important to know that 2022 is already very busy for all wedding suppliers across the UK.  Many of us already had busy diaries for 2021 before lockdown began, so coupled with the postponements from 2020 there are fewer dates available than usual. We are now squeezing two years worth of work into one and sadly there will be instances where I cannot accommodate some postponements. As many of you know I only take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure I can devote enough time to every couple and keep my work of a consistent standard.

If you have a lot of different suppliers and want to keep as many as possible, I would highly recommend choosing a new date which is not a peak Saturday.

Many of your suppliers will have Thursdays, Fridays and even Sundays still available. It’s also worth remembering that some of your guests may have already been invited to other postponed weddings on next year’s peak Saturdays too. If you have a very exclusive or private venue it may be easier to choose a peak date, but be sure to check with your other suppliers before committing.

The dates below may change quickly and without prior warning, so please keep an eye on them if you’re keen to keep your booking with me:
