Every year, totally predictably, my new year’s resolutions are the same. Quit eating chocolate, start running again and share my work more often. And as is typical for new year’s resolutions, I just can’t seem to stick to them. While dashing about at weddings all summer partially makes up for not running 10k and eating too much sugar in winter, it really is a huge shame I haven’t blogged more this year. Although I stuck to my limit of 25 weddings for 2018 I ended up hugely over-booking my other photography work and – combined with going on my first summer holiday in five years – somehow got engaged and bought our first house all in the space of six weeks. So as you can imagine, my priorities have been editing weddings and designing albums amidst the chaos, leaving blogging on the back burner. Aside from all this I feel 2018 has been a bit of a milestone year for me, professionally as well as personally. I’ve always taken great pride in giving my couples a set of pictures which tell the whole story of their wedding day, capturing all the moments, big and small, in whatever conditions come my way. I’m really pleased with how 2018 has panned out and as I enter my seventh year as a full time wedding photographer I feel happier and more grateful than ever to be doing this for a living. Here are some of my favourite shots from the last twelve months, thank you so much to every single couple who have let me use their photos to show my work and help my business progress! Happy New Year everybody! x
