Well 2017 has flown by but wow – what a year it’s been! This was my fifth year as a full time wedding photographer and every season I love my job just that little bit more. I feel enormously lucky and privileged to have such amazing couples choose me to photograph their weddings and it’s something I’ll never take for granted.
There’s been a lot of memorable moments this year, it’s the first time I’ve seen a bride ride into her wedding on horseback and a groom arrive at church on a tandem bike for sure! What was especially lovely though is that I’ve photographed the weddings of four sisters of previous brides of mine (and one groom!). Seeing those families again was fantastic and a real highlight for me.
This year’s also been particularly amazing because I was voted one of the best wedding photographers in the East Midlands by The Wedding Industry Awards, winning the Highly Commended title back in November. A total dream come true and it’s all down to the couples featuring in this blog post (thank you so much!).
Anyway, trying to condense my favourite photos of 2017 into one blog post hasn’t been easy but here’s what I’ve got so far. No doubt more will be added after my final wedding of the year next week! Thanks so much to everyone who’s supported my business this year and bring on 2018!

Charli and Will’s Rutland wedding was full of the sights, sounds and scents of the English countryside. In fact when I look back through their pictures I can still smell the beautiful herbal centre-pieces and honey-scented bouquets – divine. Set in the beautiful Rutland village of Barrowden with over 120 guests, Charli and Will’s wedding Read More

When it gets to this time of year I always feel reflective about everything that’s happened over the last 12 months. Now I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks 2016 was a pretty peculiar year, but on a personal level and in my work as a wedding photographer it was actually one of the best. As Read More
