Kim and Adam decided to get married at Polhawn Fort in Cornwall after searching for quirky wedding venues online. The beautifully decorated fish cellars and privacy of the location, tucked away on steep cliffs near Plymouth, made their wedding a very intimate and relaxed affair which was great fun to shoot.
As a photographer herself Kim had a pretty good idea of what she wanted from her wedding photography. The couple had asked for some highly lit portraits to be taken on the beach, so it was exciting for me to work in a slightly different style. They also put aside plenty of time for their group photography which helped take the pressue off everyone for the formal photographs.
I could write an awful lot more about this wedding – about the guests, the venue and the tropical temperatures of a mid-March heatwave – but I’m sure the pictures will tell the story better than I can:
